چکیده

Oestrogen receptor protein (ER) was detected in 9 of 11 samples of malignant breast tissue and 8 of 9 samples of normal breast tissue. Levels of cytosolic ER (ERJ) in malignant breast were 21-1102 fmol mgsoluble protein (Kd1.8x 10-9-3.1 x 10-8moll-1) and those of nucleosolic ER (ERj), 13-526fmolmg-' soluble protein (Kd 2.1 x 10-9-1.4 x 10 8mol '1). In normal breast tissue ERC levels were 33-640fmol mgsoluble protein (Kd 1.3 x 10-L-3.2 x 0mol -'), ER. was detected in only 2 samples, 8 and 87 fmolmg' soluble protein with Kd 3.2 x 109 and 1.4 x 1091 mol -' respectively. 17a-ethinyl13,-ethyl-17,-hydroxy-4,15gonadiene-3-one (gestodene), a new synthetic progestogen displaced 3H-oestradiol (3H-E2) from both ERc and ERn in malignant tissue but not in normal breast, or these receptors from endometrial tissue. Dictyostelium discoideum

Dictyostelium discoideum is a cellular slime mold [4] that serves as an important model organism [5] in a variety of fields. Cellular slime molds have an unusual life cycle. They exist as separate amoebae, but after consuming all the bacteria in their area they proceed to stream together to form a multicellular organism. These features make them a valuable tool for studying developmental proces...

The hagfish slime gland: a model system for studying the biology of mucus.

The hagfish slime gland may provide a model system for studying certain aspects of the biology of mucus. Mucus is obtained in nonhydrated form by electrically stimulating the anesthetized hagfish and the secretions are stirred into ammonium sulfate. Centrifugation and filtration are than used to isolate the two major secretory products, mucous vesicles and threads. Specific advantages of the mo...

Emergent Behaviour in Slime Mould Environments

Slime moulds are well studied organisms in biology. They are some of the simplest organisms that exhibit complex emergent behaviour. Although individual organisms interact with the environment only by following local rules, slime moulds produce a collective behaviour on a global scale. The modelling of slime mould patterns provides a good testbed for studying emergent behaviour. We have simulat...

Pre - proceedings of the Workshop “ Physics and Computation ” 2008

We experimentally demonstrate that computation of spanning trees and implementation of general purpose storage-modification machines can be executed by a vegetative state of the slime mold Physarum polycephalum. We advance theory and practice of reaction-diffusion computing by studying a biological model of reactiondiffusion encapsulated in a membrane.

Synthesis Silver Nanoparticles by Recovery Silver from Anode Slime of Kerman Sarcheshmeh Cooper Complex

According to circumstance of kerman sarcheshmeh cooper complex that its anode slime is mainly consisted of Cu, Ag, Au, Pb and Se. In this work, recovery of silver from anode slime and subsequent synthesis of silver nanoparticles from leaching solution was made. Silver was separated from anode slime by using of HNO3 and HCl. X-Ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF) was used to characterize anode sl...

Anode Slime Gained During Electrolysis Process of Secondary Copper Anodes

The aim of this research is to get a better understanding of the electrolytic refining process in order to yield the anode slime. Three types of secondary copper anodes are electro refined in an electrolytic system, where the electrolyte is an acid of copper sulphate solution. As a result of the electro-refining process the anode slime has been gained as secondary product. The experimental ...
